you should definitely pick up Battlefield 3.
If you haven't seen the trailers/gameplay videos of it yet, it's amazing!

Destructible environments!!
This is old news in the battlefield series but it has been enhanced and made better.
You can shoot holes through buildings with tanks. Basicially everything is made 100% destructable.

spent a solid day playing heavy rain on wednesday. My bro bought it ages ago, its taken me a while but finally got around to playing it. Almost turned it off in the first 20 minutes....

^ Don't go anywhere near LA Noire then P, luckily I was given a copy and didnt part with any cash. Proper yawnfest made all the more worse by the fact that your character is about as much use as pedals on a wheelchair when it comes to solving any of the crimes. You know who's done it straight away but are then forced to follow up loads of tedious dead ends whilst the twat in the hat slowly catches up and figures it out. Wank.
