We're 1). Men, 2). Apart from Streak, younger than 60 and 3). Some of the coolest kids on the block who are either unshackled by the constraints of in-house pussy or in possession of enough of a backbone to say "do it yourself ya lazy shyster !"

Very Happy

I've lost all my playing time since my wife decided we'd be better off as alcoholics. Sad.

Game20 <<use that code @ argos 20% of all preordered games
Preordered MW2 for £35.99 Wink

The RRP of Modern Warfare 2 (and subsequent games, presumably) will be £55 on xbox360 (and on PS3 I presume). Pre-order prices are staying at current market levels so unless you want to spend an extra twenty quid come release day, I'd snap up Bhara's link.

Only MW2 is confirmed as having £55 RRP (weak pound, rising development costs) but the majority of games are expected to follow unless sales are disastrous (which they obviously won't be).

is anyone even planning getting the premium version of mw2? it will containt night vision googles... wich will be shit i guess.

cheers

They'll never keep that kind of pricing up cos people just won't have it.
RRP for new games is £49.99 at the moment but how often do you see them on sale for that price ?

Reply

The problem is Pure - it'll be hard to judge whether sales were affected by the pricing for a game as huge as MW2 and so pricing may stay like that for higher tier games for a while. Unless there is a clear drop in profit (at the moment companies are barely making any at all on each unit so it is a big, big increase) pricing may continue like this indefinitely.

Yeah, but as RRPs go, it's only a £5 increase so the actual sale price will probably be the £45 that Amazon is asking right now.
Frankly, they can get bent at that price as well.
I'll just reprogram my brain to thinking the release date is a month later and pick it up on Ebay used for £30.
