Sounds like you need to live in London.
You've got excellent connections for anywhere in the UK and could live on the outskirts at a reasonable price and commute in in around 20 minutes.
Go to Right move and Find a property they should have something for you to look at.
Anywhere just inside the M25 will be cheapest (usually) and it get's more and more expensive the closer to the centre you get, mostly.
