your first supes?
#11

1987, I remember it well as I'd been after a pair for years already by that point. My Dad was working in German a lot at the time and after months of pestering he finally came home one weekend with a pair of "Made In France" white SS1's with black stripes. That were slightly too small but I couldn't have been happier. Second pair came about 18 months later when I scored a wht/red pair in Amsterdam.

Mmmh year 2000 needed / was told had to wear black or all white shoes for nurse training. Really liked supes after seeing such bands as Korn and Run DMC wear em etc. Decided the lesbian white flats the older nurses wore where not going to be rocked on my young ass feet. So i got a white SS2 with silver stripes n eyelets. Wore them till stones came thru the sole and the sold started to come away. Then they went sadly to heaven.

Got my first supes at the start of 07 (Late starter I know!), a pair of black suede ones, got them when I was returning another inferior brand of sneaks that the stitching had popped on...

My BL5's. Got em a few years ago, maybe 4 or 5 years ago. From JD. Desperately wanted some supes, had looked all over town, and saw these and thought they were great.
Now I realise how wrong I was. With their nasty interchangable stripes, which are broken. Just a matter of time before they go to hell as they are my beaters. Laughing

Could have been earlier this decade when I was becoming all MEH with other makes of kicks. Bought some soops, then a few more soops then found this place. Cool

first pair was back in 96 in high school, was typical white with black stripe, they were my school shoes at the time, lasted me about a year before they fell apart from the usual school kid crap haha

second pair I think was 2001/2002 I remember my cousin and I buying a pair each from a discount bin at a department store, we thought they were the shit to go clubbing with hahaha
he got a white/black stripe and I got white/lightblue stripes, think we paid about $30 for them hahaha

haaa found an old photo with the white/blues in the background, man they were beaten up

my folks would never pay that much for my shoes growing up. they all seemed to be over 120$ in aus (unless u really looked which i hadnt the interest at the time). but now this interest is killing my bank and my last few pairs have been WAY over that price Sad lol

I have a size 12/13 foot so Supes were never a consideration for me as most UK retailers - until now - stop dead at an 11, or if you're really lucky, a 12, and that doesn't work with a shoe as narrow and harsh as Supes are, so I never really took any interest in them.

I've always been into adidas and footwear, though, so one time I found a pair of red half-shells on t'net and from there stumbled onto Shotta's site on eBay, looking for 'red' 'adidas' in the search engine.. and et voila. I found a pair of Bulls in a 12UK, which were too small for me. I loved the design so I typed 'superstar' into Yahoo and it came back with this place as well as getting me my second pair which were the brown/green/white TL's.

It's been chaos ever since. Surprised
