35th Ian Brown - UK10 / Meet up train booking cock-up
#11

It is still happening but the date has changed cos Spite didn't put the meet up on his fucking calendar and subsequently booked a holiday all over it.
It's since been moved several times.
I think we're waiting to here from those concerned in the negotiations on Insta before settling on a date.
Total pain in the arse, frankly.
Wish I hadn't bothered trying.
All he had to do *mumble mumble*........................ the fucking calendar was right there! *mumble mumble*.................

Oh bollocks. I thought the Southern meet up might actually prove to be a bit more reliable than the hapless Northern attempts . . .
Well I've just dropped 40 notes on a train ticket, so will definitely be in London on October 3rd for the day. Never mind, plenty to do.
Anyone fancy a few beers?
Tuomas - are you still about mate?

Yo! I'm still coming but since these clowns started messing with the date I haven't booked my flights. I have a credit card ready and wife is also still wanting to go so all is good but would really need to know the date.
So Guy you are there on 3rd. Anyone else?

Did you buy them with cash or a card?
The date of travel can be changed in advance.
Or it can be cancelled.
It would be nice to get as many people there as possible on the same day.

Apparently I could get a refund of 50% minus an admin fee, which means I'd get £10.50 of the £40.50 ticket price! Shocked
Hardly seems worth it.
The date of travel can be changed before the booking deadline (whenever that is) for additional fee, so let me know if another date is finalised.
No worries though, haven't had a day out in London on my Jack Jones, without the missus, since I moved away in 2006.
Plenty of people to catch up with (esp as I've got a 1-6 travelcard on the ticket) and if anyone from superstardb fancies a bevvy that's an added bonus.
Cool

It would be great if we can all do this on the same date.
I'm sure we can have a whip round to change the date, although you are a very naughty boy for not checking first...........

I am Mr P. I should have checked. I thought I was being pro-active and decisive. I should know by now that that's no way to behave!
If we're deffo on for the 31st than I should be able to change the ticket, or I might even do two trips down.
I need to get out of the North West more often anyway.
What about our Finnish friend? What's your plan Tuomas?
