You and me both. Never got on with the 80s shape. It's a damn shame they've stopped making vins.

i just cant bring myself to wear my Foot Patrols though, they are too nice to risk staining

I never wore my footpatrol 35ths either... It was ridiculous, they just became the albatross around my neck and had to go. They're happier in Finland I'm sure...

I know the feeling GeeBee, I keep getting them out, putting them on, admiring them and thinking "fuck it, I'm going out in them", then I start thinking about how many of the real (ie non fake) 300 pairs can there be left on the whole of the planet in almost ds condition (ie de-tagged) and back in the box they go!
I might need to sell them on.
Same with the House of Pain Campus 80s, absolutely love them, but in their box they sit
lovin' me terrace footwear.
