Think i have all bases covered now - ordered some red & some white vintages and have a set of burgundy spare back in France but not sure of the colour match - think they will be more pure red when I see them in the flesh. Might even go one red and one white if i can't decide.

Looks like you were right - burgundy could well be the way forward. The vintage red is too light. I have ordered some burgundy 9mms - should have listened to you in the first place.

What's the 'vamp'? I'm not sure exactly what you mean - dead pleased with myself for getting these though. Poorly listed - no mention of pro model anywhere hence little interest. They look like they have never been outside - boom! Hoping the bboy burgundy laces are a good match but pretty sold on the white look anyway. Win - win!
