Just booked tickets to NYC for mid October. How was your trip Wappersha? Any tips buddy?
Any additional help would be appreciated. It's the first time for both of us to NY and also part of our honeymoon trip.

Enjoy lucky bastard T! I love NYC...gotta hit up some of the shops I.e. Flightclub, perhaps Atmos, Alife might finally be back up just to name a few...if you like high fashion/artsy fartsy but great places to eat and peep watch SoHo should do nicely..Times Square for the touristy feel and a show if you're into it....ask Mike since he's the resident NY boy via NJ......

i'm no Yankees fan, but you gotta at least watch a baseball game at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. i haven't been to the new stadium, but have been to the old stadium. if no games available, at least do the tour.

Hey, fellas. Haven't been around as much because I've started a new job.

My general advice would be to go off the beaten path a bit. It's nice to see a few of the big tourist attractions but don't spend too much time there because all of the REALLY interesting stuff is where all of the other tourist AREN'T.

Example: The Highline is amazing but it's also SUPER crowded. And where's the fun in that?

I like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and MoMa a lot.

Get lost in SoHo and spend a day there. There are 4 adidas brand stores there but also hundreds of others. Two of my favorites are Evolution and Kid Robot.

You could spend a LOT of time trying to hit all of the sneaker joints so try and narrow your list down. Flight Club is cool just to see their massive wall of kicks. Note that the Greene St. Store listed in the links a few posts before this one is closed. The only Flight Club store in NY is on Broadway near Union Square.

Atmos is up in Harlem on the same block as the famous Apollo Theater. While you're uptown, pay a visit to the largest cathedral in the world, Cathedral of St. John the Divine.

A Fallon taping is worth a try but may be tricky as audience sizes are small and you may not be able to specify a specific date. Plus, if you are visiting during the summer, the show will likely be on hiatus until September. If you can't see an actual taping you can still get a tour of NBC Studios at 30 Rock. There you will see Jimmy's studio as well as Saturday Night Live's. While you are in the building you can go to Top of The Rock to take your Manhattan postcard pics.

Try like hell to get tickets to Book of Mormon. Holy shit is it funny. If you can't get tickets through the site they have unsold tickets to all of the Broadway shows at TKTS in Times Square.

Couples seem to have a good time here at The Museum of Sex. Not for the prudish types.

There's SO much other stuff but this should get you started.

Should be pleasant. CAN get quite cold or warm with the crazy weather we've had these past few years but I would say it will likely be in the 10-15 C range. Wind can feel a bit strong in the areas with larger buildings so sometimes it may FEEL a bit colder.

One note. Monday, Oct. 14th is a holiday so things will generally be much less crowded but most stores will still be open.
