Havoc says :

"I have had so many responses I would like to tell everyone that I will accept offers until next Friday 5 pm UK time, to give everyone an equal chance.

The highest offer will get the item."

He can't post in this section at the moment..

I have had an overwhelming response to the sale. At first I considered just setting prices and the first person to say yes would get it, but that did not seem fair to me. I know that there are many of you who would love a chance to getting some of these kicks. So I decided to invite everyone to submit their best offer, this process will continue until end of play (5pm) Friday 2nd. I will not accept any offers after that time and date.

The person with the highest bid on a particular shoe will get it. That's the best I can do to ensure that everyone has a fair chance.

So on Saturday I will contact all the winners and let them know. If you do not receive a PM from me on Saturday than I am afraid that you were not successful. Anything which does not sell after this process will be put on Ebay and I will inform the forum and post the link.

I will ship the shoes out the following week by first class recorded post. Pickups are available if you live in London and can meet me in the City. Payment by cash or PayPal.

For your information I have received compelling offers for both the Neighborhoods and the Foot Patrols from a collector friend of mine.
If anyone has any questions then please PM me and I will do my best to answer.

WHEN MAKING YOU OFFER PLEASE BARE IN IN THAT SOME OF THESE KICKS ARE HIGHLY SORT AFTER (AS IF I NEED TO TELL YOU Smile ) AND THE RESPONSE HAS BEEN SOMETHING OF AN EYEOPENER.

Good luck to everyone.

To be honest I think it would be more fair to set a price and let the first person to say yes buy them. What you're doing now is really just running your own auctions trying to increase the prices, having members bidding against each other, but with no chance of knowing what the current bid or price is.

Why not simply post some pics of what you have for sale and put your price next to it?

My guess is that he paid £400+ for the consorts and offers are coming in at half that.

With God's help I'll conquer this terrible affliction.

Smile you are very right, I do not expect to get what I paid for them. And or everyone's information no bid matches or exceeds what I paid for ANY of the consorts, at least up to this point.

Well sorry you feel that way wildthing, I respect your opinion. As I said I in my previous post did consider it. I could have simply said Foot Patrols £400 first come first served and to hell with those who did not see my offer in time.
And yes I agree you can see this as a private auction and I would be a fool not to want to maximize the return on what was a considerable investment. I have spent A LOT of money on my collection, I do not expect to make back all my money, if I do I would be happy.

All I'm saying is that I can't see why you don't put a price on the stuff you're selling. Put £400 on the FPs and I'm sure you will still have someone offering you money (I doubt you will sell them for £400 though, but if you can, I suggest selling them instantly), but at least it's out in the open.

Personally I'm not bothered about how you sell your stuff, I'm a UK 11 so everything is too small for me anyway (except for the D-Mops which I have already) so it's merely an observation done as a forum member. I know a sneaker forum or two that would have deleted your sales post immediately because there neither pics nor prices.

I agree with wildthing, I've never liked the offers approach, if your selling something your going to have an idea of how much you want for it so just post that amount and work from there.

Again you have nothing that fits me, it just doesn't sit well with me that your firstly claiming your trying to be fair and give everyone a chance when really your just wanting to maximise your return as you've now said, why not just say that in the first place?

In a way I agree with you both.... But when you are talking about things like NBHDs and D-Mops they really don't come by often. And what if he did set a reasonable price for them? Would someone purely miss out because of their time zone they are in?

When you are talking about this level of shoe, any way really isn't going to be fair on everyone.
However pics would be welcomed....
