Hi!

I have two questions, but figured I might as well put them in the same thread

First off - Where do you guys buy your kicks? I've been in several shops in Denmark, and so far I have only managed to find two different Superstars.

The white with black stripes, and the black with white stripes.. And to make everything even more scary, the price is like 115 - 120 $ ^^

Well, second question - I want to start running and was wondering. Are there any Superstar made for running? I've been looking at the Superstar 3G, but is it made for running, and did they make more models for running?

I figure I could google most answers, but I figured I might as well ask some people who knows what their talking about!

Regarding the model "not to mention", I asked for other models as well, as I think that model is really ugly...

You should go to a proper specialist running shop and get fitted for shoes. More than likely you'll end up in a pair of Asics, New Balance or perhaps Saucony. They will be ugly.

Your feet, legs and back will thank you a million times over.

Yeah mate. Like Lorrie said. Go to a proper shop (maybe google it, there's a running community in almost every city) where they are specialized into running. They will film you while running on a treadmill or take pics of your feet while you're running just to analyze what type of runner you are. Best thing you can do I ended up with Sauconys, Pearl Izumis and Mizunos.

But you need to find the best shop. I was once in a shop where they sold me some Asics not fitted to my body. Oh man. They were not good for my knees

You won't have seen it (or maybe you did if you use BBC iplayer) but last night's Panorama programme was interesting.

Apparently all trainers/sports drinks/muscle mass/protein shakes are all a waste of money. Like how all the big companies tried to backup their website blurb, however eventually they all removed the dubious statements from their websites.

Yeah I watched that, was interesting. Zx8000's are comfy I don't do running but if I did I would wear them for that

One of the running experts on the prog said just that, find a pair that you find comfy. And drink water.

I will say that all of these new "ultralight" running shoes that are super-bendable and have just a minimal EVA outsole are just awful. You'll be beat up after a mile. I learned the hard way.

Nice answers. Was hoping that Adidas had made a Superstar running shoe, or at least a model with the shell toe Guess it's not the best design for running...

Well, I'll have to go to the local running expert and get advice regarding the running...

regarding where to buy shoes, I found some nice sites looking through different posts on the forum (which I'm already in love with)...

I'm kinda new to this game, and already encountered several sites selling fakes if your looking for models that are just a bit out of the ordinary, and would rather pay 300 $ for a genuine pair than 30 $ for a fake pair..

One more question! I've been googling and looking around the forum, but haven't been able to find any site with a list of "all" Superstar collections... I'm not looking for a specific site selling all models, but more a site to watch the models, so I can check which models to add to my wishlist... Anyone know of a site like this?
