Tif's have got a leather tongue haven't they? Whereas the 08/09 ones have the original (and better Laughing ) style foam tongue.

I disagree with you on the tongue. The foam ones might be more og but the leather ones are more comfy.

I guess you must drop a lot of heavy shit onto the top of your feet. I really can't tell the difference, in terms of comfort, between having a piece of foam or a piece of leather under my laces. I just know they look better and let's be honest, if comfort were at the forefront of our minds when selecting footwear, none of us would be sportin' shoes designed in the late 60's...

Ha. I actually find most of my soops really comfortable. But there's a reason why I won't buy 2s and don't wear 1s that often.

My only problem with foam tongues is that they slide off to the side when you're wearing the supes.

Foam all the way for me, no sideways sliding either. I like the very thin leather tongue with a bit of sponge sewn to the back that you get on some Vins but I no longer get down with the 'Jamie Oliver' style thick tongues found on a SSII.
