I own a pair of Pacers but have not used them for running, and honestly would not even consider them for serious running. They're comfy for casual use but at the end of the day, its a 20-year-old shoe with 20-year-old tech, so I would stick with something more contemporary for running, your legs will probably thank you for it.

I got a pair (them consortium hamper jobbies) but never ran in them!!Like the rest have said i don't think they'd be all that and probably not upto the job for serious running.

Yeah Nik dont run in them, but keep it 3 striped and dont go for Asics
Dont know what specialist stores you have Aus, but get yourself down to one or the adidas performance store and get your foot checked for
pronation as depending over whether you pronate or over pronate, there are certain types of shoe for each.
Then get

there are heaps of places that measure with all the computers and shit how your feet react etc... not necessarily adidas stores...
basically ill find out what shoe they recommend, then piss off and buy it online for heaps cheaper lol
runners here are ridiculously priced... wait, just like all shoes and gear!
