are they even actual snakeskin? to me it just looks like leather with a print to imitate snakeskin....

Actual snakeskin? There isn't such a thing in supes as no reptiles have been harmed in the making of any of them. But I know what you mean. The closeups of these 80s don't show the upper having a similar scale effect than the proper snakeskin supes have but I might be proven otherwise when someone has actually got hold of them and can say how they are.
Doing nothing is very hard to do... you never know when you're finished.

oh u know what i mean grimmy... my snake vins have a real look to them you know...
these ones look like a flat black leather base...;
