narr not just you lorrie, soz bud, not just the ssdb fraternity, adidas have to take some of the blame, even the general trainer buying population but probably mainly hype & propaganda machinery that surrounds the industry.

For me it's got nothing to do with hype, I just think SS2s are the least comfortable because of all that padding, especially the tongue. I know the padding should make them more comfy, but my feet beg to differ. I always preferred the SS1 over the SS2 because of the thin tongues, and vins + 80s simply fit my feet better (and feel slightly more light weight) so that's why I prefer them. That, and they look better

I honestly don't think I would buy SS2s no matter what collab adidas would come up with.

And yes, I used to have loads of SS2s, and some of them were my favorites, I just think 80s and vins are an improvement

It also pisses me off that adidas have padded the tongues on some of the recent vins, it sort of ruins them for me. They should have kept them like the first ones they did, i.e. the 35th consortiums, bordeaux vins, snakeskin vins, etc.

No pot noodles for me (not today anyway), just ranting

I love the SS2 but will concede that the SS1 looks that little bit better.

And top shout PB, bring back the MK1&2 Superstar Skate!!! Now there is a "marmite" pair.
