is there a conspiracy

Was looking on a site earyier. the type of site thay seems to have a lot of rare trainers at extortionate prices as expected .
adidas-superstar.com. i noticed a link at the bottom of the page too shell-toes.com. the trainers are a third of the price which must be shite. but there is a second link to trainerstation.com which i am sure is legit. i am confused. could it be a fake website designed purely to give a price comparason between 2websites (shell-toes + adidas-superstar) which are both created by the same con artist and they have added trainerstation as a link to give the adidas buyer confidence. anybody else noticed this or had any dealings with the sites?

You're pretty much right - both shell-toes.com and adidas-super.com are owned by the same guy, Terry Chegwin. Shell-toes.com is a known fakes site, trainerstation is 100% legit.

I remember a friend buying a pair of Supes from the Casino series from Shell-toes.com, they were awful, almost completely fell apart within 10-20 wears.

Chegwin by name, Chegwin by nature.

There's no 'I' in team, but there's a 'U' in cunt.

Also, if you suspect foul play like this in the future - the best way to check is a whois search (http://whois.net f.ex). It'll give you info on who owns the domain name and other info.
