Do you let your kicks.. err.. cool down?
#1

Hi guys!

Sorry you dont hear from me much, im trying to make something of myself and its very time consuming..

I do still rock soops every day, and have recently had my office redecorated and the kicks have prime place next to my desk now...

Which now means i have them all to hand, easily accessable!

The other day i was taking a pair of white/fairway superstars off, and went to put them in the box...

Now it was a warm day, and i had them on ALL day..

So they were quite hot..

And i thought, if i put these back in the box, will they like, sweat or something?

SO i let them cool down, and THEN put them in the box?

Am i being stupid? Laughing

Or do you see where im coming from? Smile

I need more lemon pledge...  Very Happy

I see where you are coming from, I tend to take my supes off and leave them for a bit before giving them a clean and putting them away. Mostly out of laziness rather than any fear they will sweat...

Used to do it with my football boots but never trainers.

Suppose it could stop a sweaty smell in the box though?

Makes perfect sense Ol, after all you wouldn't leave your kids in an unventilated car on a stinking hot day...

Makes sense to me. Especially if, as you say, they were quite hot.
When it comes to making sure they stay fresh in the box I'll tell you one thing, i've heard Big-molly has tiny airfreshners in each of his boxes to keep em super fresh. idea1

I do the same thing. I take 'em off when I come home from work in the evening, but don't put them in the box until next morning when I grab the pair I'm going to wear that day. Don't know if it makes a difference or not, but it won't hurt them either...

should make a usb powered shoe cooling box... with 2 120mm fans on either end to bring in cool air and push out hot air... like a computer case, and a whole stack of those taxi-cab tree airfresheners hanging from the lid of the box lol

That's what it's in there for, sort of.
I leave them out the box but only cos I can't be arsed to put 'em away again !
I've currently got 40 pairs out of boxes sitting on the floor all round the flat.

Mine never go back in the boxes. I do keep all the boxes but I store most of my trainers out in pairs on the floor in my "Man-Cave" up in the loft. Pretty much the whole floor is covered in shoes apart froma little aisle up the middle. I don't let any natural light into the room to stop the colours from fading and the toes from going yellow. It's pretty cool being able to walk into the room and just step into your chosen pair for the day without having to search through a stack of blue boxes! Laughing

I don't let mine cool down on purpose but they almost never go back into the box straight away, usually 5 or 6 pairs build up on the floor before i decide i have had enough of our lass nagging me and put them back in their boxes Smile

all day i dream and shine.
