I had to "re apply" for my old job (albeit with a different title) 10 months after getting it, I'd changed career path completely too for this job. The shitty thing is they knew that the changes were coming and everyone would have to re-apply or take redundancy when they offered me the job, but nobody mentioned it. I said fuck em, but without another job to go to
