Yup, good luck with the new job. I'm on my third career.... 10 years in the insurance industry, 10 years in education, and now into my sixth year in law enforcement.

I think the world's inhabitants are just starting to remove their head from the sand, now they really are seeing the impact of global warming. Certainly it hasn't stopped raining here and it will undoubtedly snow all spring.

Trouble being that the sand is so wet they can't get their heads out . . . Any serious measures to tackle global warming don't sit well with the myth of limitless economic growth, unless somehow the whole system changes . . . like that's going to happen.

Indeed. Anyone that thinks that the current weather patterns are normal, or just part of a typical historical pattern, doesn't have their head in the sand, they have it somewhere else.

Also, I just ate a huge bowl of pho for lunch. Big enough to feed a family of 4, with leftovers. It was practically a bucket of pho.

@Benji - surely you have Pho in the UK. You've got Vietnamese people, right? And Vietnamese restaurants?
@LL - piss off with the pool pics. It's -10 or something here and I'm outside in it training for a stupid race. Well, not right at the moment, but 5 out of 7 days.
