Right then after a hot sweaty drive on the M1/A1 arrived at our holiday rental by the sea. Beautiful sandy beaches, secluded little village, lots of newcastle lads on a dey oot, but WIFI in the house and SSDB is back up.
Didn't bring my customs so will have to talk to the mrs of an evening.

Alnmouth... off to Dunstanburgh castle in a bit, walk along the beach to it.
Any suggestions gratefully accepted and vetted by the mrs.
Going to have to go to Holy Island and Bamburgh and some point.

I'm Just back from a week in Bamburgh! In addition to all the places Jim has mentioned, Newton-By-The-Sea has a nice beach and a cracking pub right at the entrance. If you're into castles, Warkworth, Bamburgh and Holy Island are all worth a visit.

Got back from a good old trip to the cabin, 3 weeks of hunting, fishing, and mind altering substances. Had a "blast" with some tannerite targets...and a old boat which has been sink, sank, sunk. Minus the mosquito bites it was wonderful.
You're just jealous.
This has nothing to do with jelly!!!!

@Shellshock
Thanks, we stayed in warksworth a few years ago for a romantic break with no kid. All we did was talk about the boy and how much we missed him, how sad are we?
Given the opportunity now i think we'd go clubbing in newcastle.
Off to holy island now.
