You just need to remember the guy for who he was , before the illness.....Celebrate knowing him mate . I've lost 2 great friends in the last 3 years through different circumstances. I always try to remember the good times we had rather than the bad. Life really sucks sometimes....

Thanks again guys, me and a couple friends spent last night doing exactly that, remembering the good times and ended up having a good laugh (with a few tears thrown in as well). The fact he had been suffering as well, and he'd accepted what was happening to him and was ready to go is something we're taking comfort in too. And he wouldn't want us moping around anyways.
