As i'm nearing the end of my quest for all the 35th anniversarys i started to think about what other sneakers i had back in the day and what was next for my wall of fame. Thinking as far back to what was my first pair of cool shoes. it was a pair of Nike Air TW. which i think are still at my parents house must be from 88 89? (i was 9) then on to air max 90 infrareds with the tag on and the tung out. then jordan 6's in black, Reebok pumps, nike air 180's. I remember getting a pair of Nike Air Huarache in about 92. Then on to superstars. I've always been a trainer pervert by the looks of things. Can anyone else think of any other cool kicks from back then?

I wore some revolutionery new Converse basketball boots, with kinda like a folding back, white, with purple and yellow detail.
Also SPX, and Black Soups, with white stripes.
Obviously lots of others, but these stand out for me.

I grew up in stan smiths (they were about the least destructable) - new pair every six months as I out grew them.
After that, moved almost exclusively to gazelles, with only a few exceptions: Jordan 4, Jordan 5, Bo Jacksons.
Still have a few pairs of old gazelles and a pair of suede Sambas from '92 or so.

God i was a proper trainer hoe when i was younger

going from brand to brand.I was that kid who always had the latest kicks b4 any1else so i've always been abit mental over trainers since i can remember.
Loads of different jordans, nike airs, reebox pump, adidas and some dodgy patrick ewing things along with some michael jackson la gear i seem to remember. But mainly nike air jordans as i was mad on all things jordan up until 15.
Wish i still had em now be worth a fortune

Man i wasn't so lucky. Pokey you were blessed mate. The kids who had all the fresh kicks used to wind me up, simply because i was jealous to the max. For me it was a £10 pair of Hi-tecs from the Sunday market and i had to wear them til they were practically dead and hanging from my feet. As you can imagine PE in school wasn't too cool. Before i rediscovered Shells i dabbled with some Converse basketball jobs, i did the Troop thing too, i forgot about all that, also who else had a pair of PatricK Ewings? They were a flash in the pan.

Pokey - they weren't Cross Colours were they?
Yes, everyone had the Jordan 6's which is why it's so surprising that there aren't more around now.
Reebok graphlite pumps too, another favourite of mine!

I had all kinds of weird shit - like Pony Destroyers and Reebok Hexalite. I then started running so was got various Air Maxes, Mizuno, a weird pair of Filas, and then I got some blue Adidas.
And then I got more blue Adidas until that fateful day circa 1997 when I found a pair of blue suede superstars and never looked back...
