Hi all,

Could use a little support/help on this one.

So today the post lady delivers my new Consortium SS 80's and I crack the pack open like when I first opened my spare Star Wars Darth Vader back in the day (insert laugh here)...I go through the requisite once over inspection and then I begin to question a number of things (before I get into my list of ???, I have to note I didn't have much to go on re: how these looked, beyond the exterior/blue snakeskin):

1. There was the dreaded heel tag cutout (actually a very tiny one)...normal with later releases?

2. There is no inner tongue ID (maybe its something that is not supposed to be there on this particular series, but I've never had a pair without an ID in place).

3. The model number is simply tagged on the inner side of the shoe, along with the sizing. I found this odd...

4. The outer tongue trefoil was all in French...that right?

Perhaps points 2-4 are in reference to the old days, ala original soups from France...yes or no?

I got em from a reputable store and I've purchased legit stuff from them before....maybe I'm just super paranoid lately, given the chat around fakes lately...no actual pix of mine yet, but I've attached a few as a Word doc from Freshnessmag.com

All is okay i asked the same questions meself!!these don't come wit a tongue label and the model number etc is simply printed on the inside of the shoe!!as for the made in france and all other points thats the norm.

Thanks for clarifying P27! I was worried there for a bit...in hindsight, its kinda kool that its all so minimalistic, right down to the tagging/ID.

FYI Zwer, they're sweet! Yep, you should get them I'd say sometime today or Thursday. Funny, but these are more roomy than the standard SS1's or 2's...maybe its the change in shell...

Yeah, I've been wearing a different SS everyday so far this week - although made the mistake of wearing DMC's the day after it rained last weekend - y'know what happens after it rains...worms, worms and more worms...you don't want to see the bottoms of these. Wear Safeties to Tfc...thankfully they're starting to score goals...

Are these made in france? or do they just have french on the tongue? that's what i got from this thread so far, lol.

The originals were I know Scuderia, doubt these are!!

Any ideas when the other colours drop folks?

The others won't likely hit Canada based on how available these ones were - NOT! But you never know...lately alot has been dropping on the Adidas Canada/US websites...moreso the US...

No they aint made in France, the odd features are all throwbacks to the older style superstars hence the 80's name and totally different profile etc
