Things that make your blood boil

I'm fully expecting to see images of a rioter/looter walking down TCR wearing a pair of cabbages.

I cant understand why they dont trun the water cannons and rubber bullets on these wee cunts.
As for the stock markets can someone explain to me if 10% off the value of the market disappers in 1 day (or whatever it is) were does it go.

adidas store in Birmingham was cleaned out. Most places I went to were bracing themselves for a repeat performance this evening. I can definitely see other cities getting in on the act.

It doesn't 'go' anywhere, of course - the price of any given stock or bond is just what a buyer is willing to pay at any given time. And an Index is a measurement of those instruments - usually not all of the stocks, for example, listed with a certain exchange, but a representative basket.

Anyone notice how all the fucking douchebags that are either shown on the news or speaking on the radio all seem to be of the same breed, ie: illiterate, in-bred, tracksuit wearing fuck-tards!
I feel sorry for the police, as their hands are totally tied. In this wonderful day and age of protecting everyones civil liberties, they aren't allowed to attack any of them, otherwise they risk being pulled up on assault charges. God I hate the "justice" system in the fucking country. It's one of the few things that the US seem to have a better grasp of.

Cheers for the explanation Lorrie but I still don’t really understand this stock market pish. All I know is I have more money in my pocket than I did this time last year so I’m not that bothered.

Errol there might not be enough police but there are police and I think the sensible majority would agree its ok for them knock fuck out of wee dicks who at best will never amount to anymore than a burden to society.

A given market, eg. The FTSE is made up of components, in the FTSE's case, the 100 largest companies listed in the UK.
They are all represented in the index but greater weighting is given the larger the company within the FTSE so whilst each company will be represented to the tune of say 1 share, if your company is say Glaxo, it might be represented by 3 shares and if it was Vodafone, it might be represented by 10 shares. I remember reading somewhere a few years ago that the 3 largest companies on the FTSE make up about 30% of the total value of the FTSE.
When a market falls it is just a representation of the fact that general feeling is that the current economic situation in the market that those companies occupy is not healthy enough to support their current share price, making them over-valued, so the price drops. A bear market.
If, say, the Government wanted to improve the economic climate for the man in the street and decided to drop Income Tax to 10%, everyone would feel flush and with smiles on their faces go out and buy 42" LCD's and shiny new cars etc.
Under those circumstances the fund managers would feel that the market had a healthier future thus making the market currently under-valued, so the index would go up. A bull market!
