When you DO get around to playing, first you'll have to quit out of the game you just loaded to the system menu and spend 10-15 minutes downloading the software update. Then you'll have to change your password from the old reliable one to something that you'll never remember. Then you'll have to agree to the new terms. Then you can sign in and start playing... if you still feel like it.
I know 'cause my son and I did this before we played Portal 2 co-op just now.
