has anyone purchased at Moe's Sneaker Spot Inc?
#1

i wanted to post in the buy/sell forum but i'm not allowed to, so i'll post it here.

as some of you know, i'm looking for a pair of superstar by andrew pommier (Heartfelt), and i placed an order at Moe's (http://www.moessneakerspot.com/) because they provide cheapest international shipping method that i can find. but when i put all my info in, they won't let me finish placing my order, the website told me the address i provided does not match the credit card address.

i double checked and it was correct, i didn't try it again because i was charged once already. my credit card company provides a service that they send me text message to my cell phone for any transaction over certain amount. so, even though Moe's said my order was incorrect on the webpage, i was charged. no way i would try again on my address because i know it's correct and i'll only get charged for the second time.

i emailed them right away and no response. on the web they say they'll response within one business day. so i emailed again just now.

has anyone had any dealings with them before? this is starting to get annoying... pretty bad business practice may i add

Moe's good and bad in my book. I ran into the same problem ordering on their site and unlike you, decided to try another 25 or so times (I'm easily frustrated, stubborn and I believe I was somewhat drunk).

Instead of emailing I gave them a call and they were really helpful.

Kicks arrived shortly thereafter and I was dismayed to see that I got hit with a $35 brokerage fee on top of customs.

I would order the Pommiers off their site, but that fee has put me off them unless they're my last resort.

But, they are legit.

a great site for me. never had an issue and shipping is almost next day but i'm right up the road in Boston. grabbed a bunch of consortiums from them. pissed i missed out on the black campus 80s.

great people to order from. they will contact you soon, or better yet just call them, and they will sort you out. i haven't personally dealt with the brokerage fee as im in the US. but i'm sure if you called them and asked them to mark the package as a gift to avoid taxes or whatever, you should be fine.

They hooked me up, and were super helpful.
so there's my 2 cents

On the gift/avoiding Customs - even an item marked as a gift will attract customs if it is expensive enough. Got two pairs of soops from US marked as a gift (value approx $140) and still got hit

Yep value needs to be marked @ $50 maximum i think or you get hit
