Found these today at a place called Sneaker City in Seattle. Bought them for my gf, her birthday is coming soon. Pretty sexy, from 2000. Total bill was $54, tax included. They had quite a few sizes...was very tempted to buy a pair for myself

Postie didn't bring these... but I picked them up at the FootLocker in South Coast Plaza today.

They had a TON of Superstars. The NBA's on adidas' site, the Mint Green/Purple CLR's, The white "Snake skins" everyone seemed to love, a ton of others.. T

Red CLR's, unfortunately they didn't have the Purples

Hey if Dirty's latest gem is a 2000 model, that begs the Q: How long do SS last in general? I keep hearing stories of sneakers/shoes breaking down, 'disintegrating' after 'x' period of time...maybe its the brand/model...whos an expert to get a decent gauge on the subject? I know its obviously something to do with the compound re: the sole, but how long? What about the rest of the shoe? Sorry to be off topic fellas!

I have a pair of soops from '94 that show moderate wear (looks like they were worn pretty carefully) but are structurally sound. No crumbling sole or busted stitches. I think it all comes down to how well taken care of the shoes are eg. not worn everyday, wiped down regularly and stored properly when not in use...
