Fake Ian Browns??? Help needed!!!
#1

Just wondering if any of you can tell me if these are legit or not? The serial numbers are different and everything else seems to check out ok.

The thing that's worrying me though is a scratch or maybe a leather join that appears on the in step near the front stripe. It starts at the stripe and arches to the top of the rubber sole. It's hard to see in the photos but I was just wondering if anyone has seen or heard of this sort of thing before and whether it's an indication of fakery?

I've tried a zoom in and you can just make it out but my camera isn't good enough to show it up properly. If you click on the pics the more high res shots show it up better but not perfectly. Can anyone help?

Thanks for helping. Here's some more pics. Do you know if the 'scratch' I mentioned in my previous post means anything?

$195 US but do you think the scratch means anything? I bought some fakes a while ago (being a bit of a novice at the time) and they had a lot of these types of scratches which actually split the leather. Have you ever heard of this?

nope never heard of a "scratch" being a way to spot fakes. From the pics you've posted they look ok to me.. The aging on the toe and sole are a good sign. The scratch could be a fault in the leather, or just a... scratch.

This is doing my head in!! i've just been down in the hall examining both pairs of Ian Browns, now the ones thought might be fake seem more beleiveable now, but the ones i thought were fake seem real?? arhhhhh!! The ones i've been wearing are the ones i thought were the crap ones, but now there grubby and will crap in the cabinet, my worry is though cause i use my foot to take the other one off i've scrapped the one letter of the Adidas on the heal where i've contunuley rubbed it with the other sole, they do have the adidas name in the heel quite small across the back?? i give up...... Confused
