hi all, I found this forum when I was searching on how to identify fake Adidas Superstars. This is a very useful forum indeed.

BTW, I'm from Indonesia where the fakes and originals are blended together in the market (they even sell both side by side ). based on the information from this forum, I got some hints to spot the fake among the originals or vice versa. So thanks guys.

I'm buying a Black Adidas Superstar II Adicolor. Well, it passes all the originality descriptions posted in here. So I hope I bought an original SSII. Will post the pics of it soon.

Olstar - When I went to Hong Kong I was actually kinda looking forward to seeing these stalls of fake consortiums, but the Hong Kong government had cracked down on it, so they're harder to find. No fake Adidas, Nike or Louis Vuitton. Heaps of fake converse, Evisu, Ralph Lauren though.

and even more brands that blatantly just copy the shelltoe. It's just

Here is one shop near my office that sell imitation Nike, Adidas, etc..
Usually they say it's factory reject. But I doubt it.
Notice there's one SS hanging on the top (Red stripes)
