Yeh Silver Linings Playbook is really good, great portrayal by Brad Cooper and nice to see De Niro in something decent for a change. Man what happened to him over the last 20 years

Loved silver linings, had that "we are family" vibe reminicent of little miss sunshine, flight's opeaning scene is awesome

always loved my name is Earl's Catalina.
Django was great too! It's been a long time I've wanted to watch a film twice in succession especially knowing its run time.
With God's help I'll conquer this terrible affliction.

Went to the cinema recently and watched Rush. A great film about the F1 rivalry between Nikki Lauda & James Hunt. Well worth a watch!

Pacific Rim was visually very nice especially with those next generation 3D glasses. Story however was quite childish...

Just looked it up.
Apparently "the plot is loosely based on events which took place in Thailand in 2006 ".
I was in Thailand at the time with the missus and my then one year old son, suffice to say the plot of the film is not something I remember even vaguely happening. Sounds like the usual standard of Hollywood's morally bankrupt, xenophobic bullshit.

I hear you. It had many flaws but it has you on the edge of your seat too. It is about western corporations doing the thing land grabbers did in the old west.. getting control of the water and then turning it off. Sorta. The couple escape into Vietnam along a river, so it couldn't be Thailand, maybe Cambodia.

I'll have to give it a watch before I pass further judgement! Getting a bit reactionary in my old age.
Yeah would have to be Laos or Cambodia (assuming it's not China) if it borders Vietnam.
Stunning part of the world . . . especially Laos.
Mental recent history though.
