If by high you mean £12, wouldn't call it that.. maybe above average from business sellers on ebay as they seem to vary between £8-15 depending on the seller but as a comparison the actual cost outside ebay with royal mail international signed for to Europe is ~£11.50 on average for supes for private persons so I guess £12 for packing+postage isn't really greedy.
But more importantly.... I think Phil (peach_sport) hasn't noticed to lower the shipping costs on most of his older items, as from what I remember he said to me some weeks ago he got the costs down to about £10 which you can see on some of his more recently added items. You probably could have got your Lakers with a cheaper shipping if you had asked.

Grimmy, how come some other webshops offer shipping for 6 (Schuh) or 9 (Size?) GBP? Do you think they add the extra costs to their shoe-prices?

They probably have deals with carriers as they ship so much. Or maybe they use different companies. Far too many variations for it to be the same cost everywhere.

Well ebay and shops there are a whole another thing from outside businesses having widely spread physical business franchises and online shops like Schuh or size?/JD so they aren't directly comparable.
The retail prices of supes in usual in the shops you mentioned compared to others with more expensive shipping are the same, £55-65 so I don't see any additional cost in shoe prices either.
I do know businesses often make special deals with the local post or certain couriers to get cheaper shipping costs than private persons but as I'm not a UK shop, I don't know the details. That is probably why these shops often seem to have slightly different shipping costs on their ebay accounts than at their own online shop. Schuh is one of these - they have £12 shipping on ebay but £6 at the online shop.
