Bape make a "Superstar" model of their own, using a subtle ape toe rather than the shell design. Iirc it cost £80-90 from their HK shop in 2006, and seemed quite limited. They wouldn't allow any snaps to be taken (of anything) and I can't find them on tinternet.

At least an orange card from me.

I'd love a pair of the Super Ape Stars in any colourway (black preferred Laughing ) but the rest of the bape stuff I don't really get, the logo is cool and the camo style stuff they do is pretty nice but £100 for a frigging T-Shirt?? Have I got mug written on my head? No.

A lot of their older gear wasn't so garish, and just used the logo in a much simpler and prettier way. The new stuff with patterns and pictures every bloody where is a bit over the top.

I do like those Bape 'Superstars' though...

It's how limited BAPE is. There's only one "plant", and it's in Japan, it ships to the stores though. And I think it's all done by hand. Also, the materials are expensive, like the Bapestas using the patented leather stuff.

And BAPE is a fairly new brand, started in 1993.

It's not expensive making simple clothing on a level that big
