I think the biggest problem the 'older' members have is people coming here, learning about all the rare models, buying them all and then fuck off again. And I can understand that. I would also be frustrated if my grail was snagged by some newbie (no disrespect EA).
I wanted the black kzk's a while ago and made a reasonable offer but a certain, newer member had a bigger wallet. It sucks but then again, it happens. The only way to somehow prevent it is not allowing any new members. But why start the forum in the first place????

No disrespect taken Rob. And I completely understand, believe it or not. But I'm not that person you've described. I've come here, learned about and also shared about shoes, benefited from and contributed to the forum, and I've no intention of 'fucking off again'. So in this instance it makes no sense to direct that outrage at me. 
Nikos, you so crazy foo! :lol Just wash your damn shoes when you get back from the pub... shit I wear some of my top grails to punk rock shows. Got one of my favorites covered in bright pink spray paint while visiting the US for the holidays, and 'cause I got skills with a toothbrush they are now spotless... no shit!
Oh, and Rob, anyone crying because someone with a bigger wallet (or a faster response for that matter) beat them to the punch is just a sucka, at least in my book. That's all part of the collecting game, and in the end the buyer is gonna get what they can for a pair. Makes perfect sense to me... and doesn't seem like it has anything to do with newbie or vet standing as a collector, forum member, or product opinion holder at all!

Jimmy is bang on re: the comment about showin up, eating up the forum content, then fcuking off, never to contribute or show up again....at least EA didn't buy up all the 'big 7' like Havoc did....still, I'd watch it on some of those 'Jodanesque' comments though...some might take it the wrong way....the ban has not been unleashed for sometime now, and I'm sure someones itchin to drop one...
