OK, apologies this ain't sneaker related, however this is important (to me anyway!)
Right, I'm always using my PC, mainly online, am not really a gamer, and usually download music & burn them onto CD. Am now considering spending up to £1k on a computer, but want opinions on wether to stay with a PC or go to an iMac? Obviously Mac's are more secure, but don't really know from there.
Opinions please!
FYI, this PC is 6 years old & just about running W98SE.

As you said Fella Mac's are generally regarded as being better and far more secure than Pc's and in most cases much nicer on the eyes but they are more expensive. I got a new Laptop last Nov and couldnt make up me mind but in the end saved a lot of money by sticking with what i knew.  If i had dosh i would get a Mac, not sure how much Mac a grand will get you? The ones i was looking at were £1800!
Its a tricky business mate! Take your time and read loads of reviews and shop around dont just go to fucking Pc World who are shit!

mr.pure Wrote:If you do decide to get one, go to the Apple store online or use Cancomuk and buy a refurb.
It'll cost you about 30% less and come with the same warranty.
I've always bought refurbs.
Mac's hold there value a lot better.
So Mr P would you recommend something like this
This baby?
would it last me several years without being obsolete & too slow/inferior after 12 months? I only ask as my PC is 1.2ghz processor, & 128mb of ram, 32mb of graphics etc, and within 4 months of buying it, Xp came out, so it's always been on the back foot!
Cheers

I think we're all missing the point really... a mac will just look so much nicer
I've been using macs for last 8 years now, and wouldn't go back, i never had a tech support call or anything, and so easy to use.
