Been playing Skyrim lately and it's easily my fav game of 2011, just like the previous part Oblivion was when it came out years ago.
Very much my type of game as well for not being an online multiplayer and featuring complete freedom over the extensive map and going through the game as you please.
After trying both x360 (don't have ps3) and pc, it seems the latter is better again than the console with better functioning menus and better graphics.

Fuckin killin it in Skyrim at the moment! Love it!!!!
Fighting dragons is insane, although easier than some things (giants for example, and Draugr Deathlords) Building up a nice little cache of weapons and armour, plus shit loads more to sell when I need cash.
So much bigger than oblivion. The dungeons are massive! Won't be happy til I get 100% on it though, like I did with Oblivion.
Only problem is, I have barely touched AC:Revelations and I haven't even opened MW3 yet.

Yeah Oblivion was huge but Skyrim is HUGE and sceneries are amazing.
I remember Oblivion took me several weeks to get through with all the side quests I could find, considering I never had time to play all day every day.
They've done lots of good changes for the menus and leveling process since Oblivion. You also need to fight more intensely especially if you use swords and such, still not too hard but not quite so easy as it was before. I guess it has to do with added realism. Love the slow motion kills.

I noticed spells are also much more effective and NPCs seem to be much more interactive and do lots of stuff instead of just standing around.

One of the few things I dont like is you are restricted on what items you can enchant with certain spells. Like, you can find fire proof armour items (boots, helms, etc) but you can only enchant rings, amulets and circlets with fire proof. So unless you manage to find them laying around, you cant make a full set of fire proof armour.

I don't like that limitation either.

Bin MW3 and get Battlefield instead.
On a side note, I used to pick on people like you two at school.
Sorry.

No worries P.

Half of my gaming experience comes from the inspecting and processing all the details of the games, how they're made and all that and the other half is playing.
I've always been into nerdy fantasy and role games especially when they are as good as the Elder Scrolls series has been.
I do like my share of more conventional action, war, strategy and racing games too but I don't play games too often anymore... I buy perhaps 2-3 games a year, some which really are worth the money. I don't hate anything as much as I hate games which can be played through within hours.
Overall I'm not a fan of online multiplaying either but multiplayer team games (ahh the days of weekly Halo sessions) are fun with a bunch of friends and multiple consoles and TVs so we can shout at each others between the rooms.
Sports games I play very rarely, can't stand FIFA or NHL games anymore.. got an overdose of them years back.

Thinking I should go get Skyrim and kiss my family goodbye for the holidays. But I still want to win the World Championship on a higher setting with F1 2011 - first season I brought the glory back to Williams.
