We was under the impression they were fakes..

I think what actually happened is that they were faked VERY quickly...

And the fakes were released the same time as the normal ones..

We saw loads of pics of them, and the adidas writing on the middle stripe was in a different palce on every one!

I think Mr Shotta's hit the nail on the head.
Seem to remember them being everywhere on the bay in adult sizes when in fact they were only meant to be kids shoes.
