cracky Wrote:911, nice. obviously a fan of the german stuff then. would love an old bmw m3 but trying to find a good one thats nearly 20 years old that isnt far too expensive is nigh on impossible....remains a dream for the moment. your right though, that baur has bags of character.

never really been into german stuff before but dreamt of having a porsche for about 30 years lol and now due to buying my house 10 years ago and the market booming ill have enough to get one before i emigrate - the only downer is i wont be able to take it with me to Australia lol

dont tempt me lol - i gave up the modifying malarkey after blowing thousands on various fords - i dread to think how much i spent on various bits and bobs over the years, infact, if i hadnt modded my fords id of had a porsche years ago with the money saved lol

...why not wait then, cost of life, and house, and other stuff is cheaper this side of the world, there's a good chance you could get to aus, buy a house and a 911???

You've been wanting a 911 for longer than me - I've been dreaming for about 22 years now - but then I'm only 24, I started young, and it's still my dream car

ive only looked at the price of beemers in Oz and they are hugely more expensive than in the UK so i was assuming that something like a porsche would be well out of my reach when i hit sunnyer shores - as for houses - its a year untill we go and the wifes allready on the brisbane web sites searching out properties and its amazing what you can get over there for what you can get here lol

I know euro cars cost more over here, but if you were buying a similar house to over there you you could make up the difference on the porsche...?

really depends what you want though, I really wouldn't mind something like a 70's 911, so much character, you can pick those reasonably cheap if you take your time. A late model one would really sting you though
