Most people think I am more than a bit nuts over the boomboxes, but believe me, I'm quite the ameteur compared to some. It's a hobby that can get seriously out of control.
If you give me some more info on it (make & model number if you know it, or failing that a description), I'll ask around the boombox collectors I know - see if we can't turn one up for you.
