well, it's part of the whole problem. i don't imagine the fakers stop at kicks, do you? these aren't amateurs banging together a few bits of leather and rubber on mom's sewing machine. this is organized crime at its finest. i would imagine the same guys who are banging off fake 35ths are also doing n**e's, louis vuitton purses, levi's, etc etc.
while we're primarily concerned with adidas (rightly so) the problem doesn't exist without context. i suppose you could take the view that if we try hard enough we can make it unprofitable enough for them and they'll move onto easier targets, but, for instance, the one time i've been stung was with a fake soccer jersey and it's irritated me enough that i won't buy fake anythings.
