Before you ask for another pair, the laces should fill the packet and not look at all floppy apart from the Tartan ones.
The label on the box should be right next to the finger hole not an inch away and the white plastic tag should have a flat bit on the female side.
If any of the above is visible then you are good to go, if you can't see any of the above and the price is below £120 for new, don't bother asking.
