The thing is for me that i can now afford (well sort of!) what i want and can buy better quality clothes etc and more of them. When i was young we were aware of what was fashionable but more often than not we either couldnt afford it or we just couldnt find anywhere that sold it down where i am so it was often trips to London which wasnt cheap and didnt happen that often!
We often would only have maybe one or two pairs of trainers and they would get worn into the ground before being replaced.
I think now most of the younger generations are pretty spoiled and have everything that they want. Im not sure if this is a good or bad thing? I can see both sides of the argumenti guess.
I still care a lot about my appearance and try to look vaguely with it! Whether i suceed or not im not really sure about that!
