stop scaring peoples adidasanth.. 99% downgrades ended successfully. dice, if i were you i would take 'risk' and downgrade myself. if you brick your psp (wich i doubt) you can still restore it in many ways, depending on wich state your console has turned off. if something goes wrong, then you could pay 15 euro's to fix it.
pure - why the hell someone would buy psp with 1.5 on it? just for.. collecting? useless. in 3.40 oe-a you can play most psx titles, play all homebrew for 1.50 (kernel) and 3.40, browse websites, run isos directly from xmb (psp menu), and it has recovery mode.
you can even overclock your psp to run smoother. it supports DAX isos too (compressed games, for example vice city stories iso is 1.8gb, while dax just 1gb!)
