The tag on the back of the tongue is unlikely to have worn away.
The discolouration of the sole, particularly in patches like at the back, tells me the rubber wasn't mixed properly, something Adi doesn't do.
I'd say they were fake.
The fact the box has gone and the labels are missing, the two most identifiable marks for determining fakes, just stinks of robbery to me.
Call him a cunt and poke him in the eye whilst rifling through his wallet and taxing him for an extra 20% for being a robbing bastard!
