Back from 2 weeks in DisneyWorld (Orlando) and what a place that is, you certainly do get a bit "disneyfied", but had a great time.Â
I made these observations:
1) saw a few people wearing supes and none of the recent nasty ones, nice clean colours, one had phat laces but didn't get chance to find out more
2) I can't do rollercoasters any more, Expedition Everest did shit me up. Maybe it's because I've turned 40?
3) The Florida HEAT! That shit is something else 98 degrees average everyday. Don't know how the people who dress up as disney characters cope with that.
4) The number of very, very large Americans. In 10/15 years these lot are fucked. In the parks I saw loads of sharps waste boxes for the diabetic needles. I don't recall seeing those before.
5) Linked to the above - Americans who are using mobo carts to get around as your only disability is being too bloody lazy to walk! One woman parked her cart on the park transfer bus and then "walked" to her seat. She wasn't even obese!
Rant over, I still love going to the USA.
