One more trick that you can try. But I would say that this is somewhat the last effort as it might damage the HDD even more.
Put it in a a fridge for over night or so that it is really cold. If there is some bearings that are not round anymore that should make them a bit smaller and make it rotate again.
Just keep it there for long enough so that it really get thoroughly cold. Might be a good idea to put it in a bag of some sort to prevent moisture.
