I actually like the tongue on these better than the KZKs as it looks like this is leather, so I doubt the quality will be cheaper, however the shoes themselves will probably be cheaper than the KZKs, which is a GOOD thing

Whether you like the looks of mesh or not is individual, and I definitely prefer leather and suede myself, but that said, the mesh KZKs are VERY nice for hot summer days, which is the main reason why I like them.
– and I'll take a pair of mesh superstar 80s over flip-flops any day to keep my feet cool
