My youngest turned 2 on Monday, but by Monday night he had a 40 degree fever. Had to take him to hospital on Wednesday night as it wasn't dropping even with Paracetamol. They thought he had scarlet fever, but turns out it is likely to be a viral infection in his chest and possibly his water. We were given a test tube to get a urine sample but there is no way we can get him to pee in it, let alone pee on demand!?
His temperature has settled back now, not eating muchand when he does he has the shits! Bonus. Not much sleep in our house..We are all exhausted.
But he is almost back to normal.
I hate the worry you have over your kids, never get used to it.
Sorry for turning the thread into mumsnet
