Aight the first pair of these came out in 1991. Originally there were three pairs released. The Equipment Support, the Equipment Cushion and the Equipment Guidance. They have been made for runners and each of these pairs had different running characteristics. One for pronation runners, one for supination runners and one for neutral runners. I know that cos I bought my first pair of sneakers back then (which was the Support).
I think all of them became classics and if you're able to get an original pair for a good price you can be very happy (unfortunately there seems to be problems with the sole of these sneaks but that's a different story). Dunno why but it seems that Adidas decided that from the three pairs of originally released Equipment shoes the Equipment Support was the most favourite of the sneakerheads and they released these 1991 pairs a few years back. And now they re-released them. So ... nothing wrong about that but I think they overdid it a bit. When they came out I was asking at a local store if that's a regular release or are they limited. The answer was that they seem to be limited (Haha ... what else should they say?). So I was very happy to buy a pair in my size shortly after the release (which is one size smaller than the original release). The end of the story is what you can see nowadays in all the online shops. Loads of these sneaks are available. Have seen them for half of the retail price at a local store and at ebay and that's very disappointing sometimes.
But it's a good shoe man
