Your skills getting them arrested would be enough for me, I wouldn't want the Supes back knowing scum had walked in them.
Yes, it could have been a lot worse. I'm still debating on cleaning up the Supes and even trying to get them back to near mint state to even wear again. But like you said and what I even thought to myself, gangster scum have worn them. I've been fumigating them with Febreze and other air freshners and sanitizers. They'll probably end up being nice beaters for doing yardwork and other dirty work.... a sad day indeed.
Thanks everyone for your kind words and taking the time to read the story. I shared the long story in hopes of putting some thought into your own collection and habits at home such as tidiness and data backup and serial #'s.

Yes, gangsters lack a sense of taste. I was surprised too that they chose the models that they did. Afterall, they were Norteno gangsters and they wear red everywhere on their body that they can.... belts, shoelaces, hats, bandanas, sport wristbands and the like. So only two pairs had red on them. The all whites... well... everyone likes a pair of all whites. But I had several other pairs that had red on them that they didn't take.... whew. I just really miss my skates
