The formula is simple. The work we do is hand painted, but we tackle the method differently. I went to school for animation. I majored in traditional animation. If you have ever seen any of the behind the scenes on how they paint animation cells you pretty much have the method there. All of the people in my camp are hardcore artists, graf, painting, cartooning etc. We just took the methods and carried it over. Some have argued it's paint by numbers hack job, but I'm sure if you came at one of the artists that worked on a movie like Akira they would disagree. Bruce Lee said it best, "Absorb what is useful."
