Thought the ref had a decent game to be honest - he hardly had any choice with the cards given out (although how De Jong and Van Bommel stayed on the pitch is beyond me)

The dutch aggressiveness in the first half set the tone for the game - they clearly set out to 'disrupt' Spain and try to nick a goal, so they can't complain at the number of cards they had.

Horrible game though

Have to agree with bhara - if it wasn't for the fact that it was the first African World Cup, the whole tournamet would be instantly forgettable (especially for N*ke - Write the Future my arse)
